Low Profile Washer Head Drawer Front Screw

This drawer front screw is not threaded completely from the tip to the head, allowing for two dimensional adjustment when attaching drawer fronts.  Just drill an oversized hole for the screw (3/16" to 1/4") and this will give you the "wiggle room" needed to adjust that drawer front just right.  The 1/2" wide washer head will cover up that oversized hole through the drawer.

When using to attach your drawer front be sure to add the thickness of the drawer box to the thickness of the drawer front and pick a screw length that will penetrate to within 1/4" - 1/8" of the thickness of the drawer front.  Use 2 to 4 screws per drawer front.

Notes:

• Example for choosing length:  drawer box thickness = 5/8" and drawer front thickness = 3/4".  5/8" + 3/4" = 1-3/8".  Use a 1-1/8" length screw
• Be careful when mounting a 5-piece drawer front. Be sure that your screws will sink into the stile or rail portion of the drawer front and not come through the floating panel
